

Christos Harisiades, 83, of Manchester passed away May 24, 2011 at his residence following a long illness. A lifelong resident of Manchester he was born here on May21, 1928, the son of the late Arthur and Orena Harisiades.
He was educated in the local school system and was a graduate of Central High School, class of 1946. He later went on to receive his degree at Suffolk University. He was an accountant and operated his own business in Manchester for more than forty years.
Mr. Harisiades was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served two tours of duty in the Korean Conflict. He was a member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church and St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Mary (Bogademos) Harisiades of Manchester; his loving daughter Stephanie Corliss of Peoria, AZ; a grandson, Christos Corliss of Peoria, AZ; a granddaughter, Cathy Jackson of Troy, VA; two great grandchildren, Graysynn Jackson and Parks Nicholas Jackson; a brother Louis Harrisiades and his wife Connie of Manchester; several nieces and nephews including James George of Manchester.
A calling hour was held Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the McHugh Funeral Home, 283 Hanover St., corner of Beech St. A funeral service followed at 11 AM in St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 650 Hanover St. Burial with military honors was in Pine Grove Cemetery.
