Constance E. "Connie" Richard

November 8, 1934February 7, 2019

Constance E. Richard, 84, of Manchester, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2019 at Bentley Commons in Bedford. She was born in Manchester on November 8, 1934, the oldest child of Neree and Gertrude (Guillette) Bourque and was a lifelong resident of the Queen City. She was educated at St. Anthony Elementary and High School and was a graduate of the Class of 1952.

Connie was employed in the finance industry for many years with several companies completing her career at Avco Finance with over 25 years of service. She was an active parishioner of St. Peter Church in Auburn and was a member of the parish Women’s Guild. She was a talented and expert quilter and especially enjoyed creating that “special quilt” for special people in her life. Her membership in the Bedford Friendship Quilt Guild enabled her to donate the fruits of her craft to those in need. She was very generous in heart and in deed. Above all else, her family and friends were most important in her life. She always had the ability to make them laugh and feel loved and will be fondly remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

She was predeceased by her husband of 36 years Roger Richard in 1990 and by her sister Madeleine Cloutier in 2010.

Members of her family include her daughter Dolores “Dolly’ Nordle and her husband Brian of Dunbarton and her son John Richard and his partner Monique Robichaud of Campton, her grandchildren Forrest Richard, Hannah Richard, Ethan Richard and Henry Richard, her brothers Donald Bourque of Alta Loma, CA and Normand Bourque of Manchester as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Loving acknowledgements and thanks are given to Lucille, Devan, Normand, Jr. and Paul and Pat Cloutier, her extended family. Dolly would like to express her gratitude to the dedicated staff of Bedford Commons and to the staff of Compassionate Care Hospice for their outstanding care, love and support.

Visitation was held on Monday February 11 from 3 to 6 pm at the McHugh Funeral Home 283 Hanover St. corner of Beech St. in Manchester. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Tuesday February 12 at 11 am in St. Peter Church 567 Manchester Rd. in Auburn. Burial followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
