Constance Mary Ricker (Connie), 75, of Manchester, passed away on November 26, 2021, at home while surrounded by the love of her family, ending her tenacious battle with cancer. Born on June 26, 1946 in Manchester, NH, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Caroline (Dzubian) Szumiesz.
A lifelong resident of Manchester, she was dedicated to her community and helping those in times of need by volunteering at the New Horizons Food Pantry for over 20 years. Connie was an avid Red Sox fan, quite possibly their Number 1 fan, she never missed a game, never missed a pitch, and her ringtone was “Sweet Caroline." She loved gardening, music, spending time with friends and going to church. Christmas was her favorite holiday, singing Christmas Carols and celebrating with friends and family. She loved to have fun, laugh and dance.
She will be sorely missed, she made her mark in this world and with everyone she met. Connie is loved and will be missed by her many grandchildren and great grand children who were the highlight of her life. The matriarch of her family, she was beyond dedicated and often went above and beyond keeping family traditions alive.
She is survived by her sister Leona Carrier and her husband David of Manchester; daughters Patricia Cote and her husband Mark of Stark, Paula Gallant and her husband Brian of Hooksett; sons Michael Lafond of Pembroke, Steven Lafond of Manchester; stepchildren Eric Ricker Sr. and his wife Cathy of Manchester, Steven Ricker and his wife Patti of Derry, Brian Ricker and his wife Jamie of Manchester, Victoria Doucette and her husband Paul of Pembroke; and many nieces and nephews.
