
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and served in North Africa with the Mighty 8th of the Strategic Air Command.
He was a member of Post 10420 VFW and American Legion Post 178, where he was a member of the honor guard.
He retired to the Grand Strand in 1995 after working in the floor-covering industry in all capacities for more than 35 years. He was a people person who loved America, life and especially golf, baseball and all sports. He played baseball and fast-pitch softball competitively and also officiated during his later years. He also enjoyed community theater, having performed with local groups.
Family members include sons Donald Brady and John Brady; daughters Doreen L. Cotting and Donna Brady; 12 grandchildren; great-grandchildren and his significant other, Jean M. Bouton, who had been his soulmate since shortly after arriving on the Grand Strand. He was predeceased by son Thomas J. Brady and daughter Mary Ellen Clark. His brother, Joseph T. Brady, and sister, Dorothy Mayes, also predeceased him.
SERVICES: A committal service was held in the chapel of the N.H. Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH on Thursday, January 20, 2011 at 11 AM.
