

Doris L. “Bunky” (Macropol) Bunker, 94, passed away in the early morning of May 6, 2014 in St. Teresa Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Manchester, just shy of her 95th birthday. She was born in Manchester on May 10, 1919, the daughter of Eugene and Marie (Durette) (Lavigne) Bissonette.
Raised and educated in Manchester, she had been a resident of Raymond for over 30 years.” Bunky” had been employed as a Nurse’s Aide at the Rockingham County Home for 15 years prior to her retirement. She was a member of the Congregational Church of Raymond and the Raymond Senior Citizens Club. She immensely enjoyed playing Bingo and cribbage.
Family members include her son, Harry E. Macropol and his wife Ann of Manchester; two daughters, Janet Geer and her husband Tom of Niota, TN and Connie Bureau and her husband Rick of Indian Harbor, FL; 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren.
Her family extends their gratitude and thanks to the staff of St. Teresa Nursing Center for the excellent care given to Doris during her time there.
A Memorial Gathering was held on Monday, May 12th from 6 to 7 Pm in the McHugh Funeral Home, 283 Hanover St., corner of Beech St. Manchester. A memorial ceremony followed at 7 PM in the Funeral Home. The Rev. Ginny Slawnwhite, Pastor of the Congregational Church of Raymond presided.. Private encryptment was in Pine Grove Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Doris’ name to the American Heart Association, 2 Wall St., Manchester, NH 03101.
