Doris T. Desfosses

Doris Desfosses, age 92, passed away peacefully in Portland, Maine on September 12, 2024 while surrounded by her loving family in the comfort of her own home. Born on June 14, 1932 in Manchester, NH, she was the daughter of the late Leandre and Caroline (Michon) Doiron.

Doris was a remarkable woman who had many passions during her life. She loved to travel, enjoyed reading, dancing and fishing, and was a strong woman of faith. She was a devoted catholic and a lifelong parishioner of the Blessed Sacrament Parish. Doris was a dedicated employee of GTE Sylvania and served as an Electrical Manufacturer for over 30 years. She was loved by her family and will be sorely missed.

Doris is survived by her many nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews, whom she remained close to.

A visitation for Doris will be held Monday, September 23, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at McHugh Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 283 Hanover St, Manchester, New Hampshire 03104. A funeral mass will occur Monday, September 23, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Blessed Sacrament Parish, 14 Elm Street, Manchester, NH. A committal and burial will occur Monday, September 23, 2024 at 12:30 PM at St. Augustin Cemetery, South Beech Street, Manchester, New Hampshire.
