Dorothy P Bargiel Sturtevant

She was born in Manchester on February 16, 1930; the daughter of the late Michael and Josephine (Szelog) Bargiel.

Dorothy married Robert Sturtevant Sr. in 1950 and moved to Auburn in 1956 where they raised their four children. She enjoyed cooking, reading, doing crossword puzzles, playing cards, and spending time spoiling her dog Sally. Her greatest achievement and love was her family. She was extremely close to and very proud of her seven grandchildren.

She is predeceased by three sisters, a brother, and a son-in-law Stewart Flam.

She is survived by her loving husband of sixty years; Robert Sturtevant Sr. of Auburn, NH, three daughters; Kathi Myers and her husband Roger of Stratham, NH, Karen Flam of Pa, and Kim Sargent and her husband Brad of Auburn, NH a son; Bob Sturtevant Jr. and his wife Pat of Manchester, seven grandchildren; Chris, Robbie, Roy, Katie, Jessica, Emily and Molly, a dear nephew; Albert Bargiel of Concord NH, as well as many aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 9, 2010 from 11 AM to 1 PM at the McHugh Funeral Home, 483 Beech Street; corner of Hanover Street, Manchester, NH 03104. A Memorial Service will be celebrated in the funeral home at 1 PM. Burial will follow at St. Hedwig Cemetery in Bedford.
