

James L. “Jim” Patane, 65, of Goffstown, died February 6, 2015 at the Catholic Medical Center after a short illness. He was born in Fulton, NY on October 31, 1949 the son of Myron L. and Mary E. (Malone) Patane. He grew up in Hannibal, NY, was educated in the local school system and was a 1971 graduate of the former NH College of Accounting and Commerce.
He was employed as the maintenance supervisor at Villa Augustina Academy with more than 30 years of service. He was currently employed as the head of maintenance for the Auburn/Candia School District. Jim was a true craftsman who loved carpentry and working with his tools. He was self-employed as Handyman Specialties. He was a proud veteran of the US Army Reserves. He will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.
Members of his family include his wife of 43 years Pauline (Gamache) Patane of Goffstown, his daughter Kellie Herrick and her husband Brian of Goffstown, his two sons Ryan Patane and his wife Christine of Goffstown and Michael Patane of Manchester, his two grandchildren Mackenzie Herrick and Gabriel James Patane both of Goffstown and his sister Helen Gigliotti and her husband Richard of Marion, NY as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday February 10 from 5-8 pm at the McHugh Funeral Home 283 Hanover St. corner of Beech St. in Manchester. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday February 11 at 10 am in Blessed Sacrament Church 14 Elm Street, Manchester, NH. Burial with military honors followed in Mt Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations in Jim’s name be made to the Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center 55 Fruit St. Boston, MA 02114.
