Lucy Correa

Lucy Correa, 58, of Manchester died February 28, 2011 at her residence surrounded by her loving family following a lengthy illness. She was born in Cartago, Colombia on July 3, 1952, the daughter of Fabio Gil and Rosaura Valencia.

Lucy moved from Colombia to England when she was 19 years old, after a year she moved to Canada and finally settled in New Hampshire. She was employed by the Bakersville Elementary School in Manchester as a Para Professional.

Lucy will be remembered for her positive attitude, the passion she felt for her kids at the school and for how much she loved her dog Amor. She was a loving and devoted mother who will be greatly missed by her family.

She is survived by two sons, Jeffrey Correa and Andres Correa, both of Manchester, NH; three brothers, Jairo, Nicolás and Gabriel; five sisters, Adiela, Mercedes, Consuelo, Betty and Angela.

There are no calling hours. A memorial service will be held at St. Raphael Church, 102 Walker St. Manchester on Saturday March 5th at 11AM.
