Marie P. Durand

She was born in Skowhegan, Maine on April 29, 1911, the daughter of Louis Henri-Charles Pare and Parmalie A. Bellerose.

For many years Marie had lived and worked in Biddeford, Maine, Nashua NH and Manchester. Her husband, Gerard Durand died in 1990. Prior to her admission to Villa Crest, she had lived for many years at the Varney Apartments in Manchester. Marie was a very loving and caring person who loved family gatherings and traveling.

She survived five brothers and four sisters.

Family members include a son, Robert G. Durand of Manchester; her grandchildren, Richard Durand and his wife Nicoletta of Bedford and Debra Durand of Manchester; great granddaughters, Catherine and Jacqueline Durand of Bedford as well as her step daughter Muriel Dumont of Biddeford, ME and her family; a brother Andre J. Pare of Tilton, NH; her cousin Simone Dumais of Lawrence, MA and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation was held on Tuesday, March 6th from 9 to 9:45 AM in the McHugh Funeral Home, 283 Hanover St., corner of Beech St. A Mass of Christian Burial wasl celebrated at 10 AM in Sacred Heart Church, 265 South Main St.. Burial followed in Pine Grove Cemetery.
