Maurice A. “Gunsmoke” Roberge, 91, of Manchester, died January 5, 2017 at the Hillsborough County Nursing Home after a long illness. He was born in Goffstown, N.H. on February 19, 1925 the son of Alfred and Arlene (Jones) Roberge. He lived in Goffstown (Pinardville) all of his life and was educated in the local school system.

He was a member of Teamsters Local 633 and worked for the Anheuser-Busch Brewery in Merrimack for over 21 years. He was also a member of the Queen City Beagle Club and loved to hunt and fish. He will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, brother and friend.

Members of his family includes his wife of 70 years Yvette (Laberge) Roberge of Manchester, N.H. and a son Ron Roberge and his wife Kathy of Waltham, MA.

His family would like to thank the staff of Unit C4 of the Hillsborough County Nursing Home for their loving care of Maurice.

Visitation was held on Sunday January 8 from 2 to 4 pm at the McHugh Funeral Home 283 Hanover St. corner of Beech St. in Manchester. A Committal Service was celebrated on Monday January 9 at 10 am in Mt. Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum 474 Goffstown Rd. Manchester. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations in Maurice’s name be made to the Hillsborough County Nursing Home Unit C-4 400 Mast Rd. Goffstown, NH 03045.
