Michael was a Veteran of the United States Marines and graduated from The Florida Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. He was an accomplished Engineer and held several patents in solid state relays and semiconductor technology.
Michael was a true DIYer well before the term became famous from reality TV and ‘Google’ was a thing. Besides tinkering in his garage fixing cars and yard equipment, he built a beautiful home with his wife from the ground up, including digging the foundation with his tiny backhoe, electric, plumbing and everything in between.
In his free time, Dad enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, playing his banjo, and making a big breakfast every Sunday morning.
Michael/Mike/’Your Father’/Dad/Poppy is survived by his wife of 56 years Elizabeth, his five children: Michael and his fiancé Tara, Cathy, Paula and her husband Alan Zappala, Laura and Ryan, six grandchildren: Alyssa Azzopardi and her husband Joseph, Michael and his wife Katie, Cheyanne, Nicholas, Shawn, Mara and his Great Grandson, Anthony Joseph (AJ).
Michael is predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Antonina and brothers, Peter and Theadore. He is survived by his brothers: Charles, John, Paul and Phillip.
We will miss you, Poppy. Happy Hunting and Fishing in Heaven.
