

Patricia Mary (Cowette) Field, 89, passed away peacefully in her family home on May 22nd, 2021. Born in Manchester, NH on April 2nd, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Josephine (Ziemba) Cowette.
She attended St. Joseph’s High School for Girls in Manchester where she was a cheerleader and played basketball. She held her first job as Secretary for her father’s company, Iron Worker Local #474 located on Elm St. at that time. She then went on to marry “the boy next door” who she betrothed herself too at the young age of 12, Moe Field.
Her greatest pleasures were spending time with her 5 children swimming at Northwood Lake, skiing at Ragged Mountain and spending holidays around the table. She relocated to Hollywood, Fla with her husband, Moe, where she enjoyed entertaining her family when they came to visit. She enjoyed her vacation trips with her husband with Ireland and Alaska to be the most memorable.
She took pride in participating in many fundraisers and more so when she volunteers, specifically for the Joe DiMaggio’s Children’s Hospital. She received an award recognizing her for her hard work and dedication on being the top sponsor for the “Buddy Bear Project” which focused on children with severe illness by providing them comfort and companionship with a teddy bear that had voice recognition. She held the position of President at the VFW 1200, and was a member of the Post 92 Women’s Auxiliary in Hollywood, Fla.
Patricia was a proud mother, an amazing grandmother, and was adored by many family and friends. She will be greatly missed.
She is predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Maurice Field; brothers Robert Cowette and Bernard Cowette II; and her sister Josephine Cowette.
She is survived by her daughters Diane Guerrera and husband John of Wolcott, Connecticut, Debra Field and her companion Costas Dimou of Manchester; sons Mark Field of Manchester, Michael Field of North Conway, Matthew Field of Port St. Lucie, Fla; grandchildren Jennifer Martinez, Harley Zyla, John Guerrera Jr. and his wife Carissa, Tony Guerrera and his wife Jill, Jonathan Field, Brittney Sullivan and her husband Luke, Joshua Field, Dakota Field, Stephanie Field; great grandchildren Alexus, Alexandra, Ava, Anthony, Audrina, Gianna, Arabella, Arianna, Callie-Mae, Brendan; great-grandchild Xavier; and many nieces and nephews. The many beloved dogs whom she rescued throughout the years, Kissy, Pepper, Ivy, Bud and Cruiser.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 26th, 2021, from 12:30-1:30pm at McHugh Funeral Home located at 283 Hanover Street in Manchester, NH with a service starting at 1:30pm. A burial immediately following at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, located at 448 Donald Street in Bedford, NH.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Animal Rescue League of Manchester.
