Raymond H. Trudeau, 83, of Bedford, died August 18, 2018 at the NH Veterans Home in Tilton after a lengthy illness. He was born in Biddeford, Maine on October 14, 1934 the son of Albert and Naida (Boisclair) Trudeau. He was educated in the Biddeford school system and relocated to Manchester in 1956.
He was a proud veteran of the US Army serving during the Vietnam era. He was also a member of the American Legion Jutras Post #43 in Manchester. He was employed groundskeeper in the maintenance department of the Manchester Regional Airport and retired in 1997 after 22 years of service. Ray was married to the love of his life, his wife Leona (Roberge) Trudeau, and together they shared 51 years of life, laughter and love. He will be fondly remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend and he will be deeply missed.
Members of his family include his loving wife Leona Trudeau, his daughter Shauna Beaudin and her husband Joseph and his grandchildren Lauren Beaudin and Jacob Beaudin all of Bedford as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
There were no calling hours. Inurnment with military honors was held on Monday August 27 at 10 am in the NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations in Ray’s name be made to the NH Veterans Home 139 Winter St. Tilton, NH 03276. The family has entrusted the McHugh Funeral Home with his care.
