Stephanie A. Chase, 80, of Manchester, NH, passed away on July 2, 2026 after a battle with cancer. Born January 1, 1946, to the late William J. Buraczynski and Stephanie E. (Sytnik) Buraczynski. Stephanie's life was marked by steady resilience, a deep devotion to those she loved, and an adventurous spirit that carried her near and far.
Raised in Hinsdale, NH, Stephanie graduated from Hinsdale High School and went on to earn a cosmetology degree in Manchester, NH-an early reflection of her creative touch and the care she so naturally offered to others.
Stephanie was predeceased by her former spouse, Paul R. Cardin Jr., with whom she had two children. Stephanie was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth R. Chase, Jr. who she was married to for 39 years, along with her brother William Buraczynski. She is survived by her two children, Christine Manning and her husband Matthew of Londonderry, NH along with Stephanie Burkhart, her husband, Brent, and her grandsons Andrew and Joseph of Castaic, California. Stephanie is survived by her sister, Kathleen Saunders and her companion Tom Seaman, of Virginia, along with several nieces and nephews.
Stephanie devoted her time as a homemaker and mother, building a home defined by warmth, love, and the quiet strength. She was dearly beloved, not in grand gestures, but in the everyday constancy of her presence and the way she made people feel welcome and cared for.
Her sense of adventure was one of her brightest sparks. She delighted in traveling to the Vatican, Europe, Montreal, and Hawaii, embracing the beauty of new places while carrying with her the same grounded heart that made home special. Closer to home, she found joy in reading, crafting, and making flower arrangements creating small moments of beauty with patient hands and an attentive eye. In the kitchen, she expressed love through baking and cooking.
Above all, Stephanie cherished time with her family, friends and her two dogs Pierre and Alexa as well as her grand-cats Sagan and Drommy. Her legacy lives on in the bonds she nurtured, the comfort she gave so freely, and the smiles she brought to everyday life-an enduring reminder that love, courage, and curiosity can be woven into each ordinary day and make it extraordinary.
Stephanie will be interred at the Mount Calvary Mausoleum after a brief ceremony on July 23rd at 11:30 AM. The family requested donations to the following in lieu of flowers:
