
Stephen A. McNally, 92, passed away December 24, 2014 at his residence following a sudden illness. He was born in Detroit MI on December 26, 1921, the son of the late Eugene K. and Lillian G. (Vile) McNally.
While still an infant his parents returned to Albany NY where he was raised. Stephen graduated from Christian Brothers Academy in Albany and attended RPI in Troy NY. He served in the Army 32nd Division during World War II.
He was employed by General Electric in the Large Steam Turbine Dept. in Schenectady, NY and later transferred to Merrimack NH plant. He retired in 1984 after 43 years of service.
Stephen was a communicant of St. Catherine of Sienna Church and was a member of the Hooksett Lions Club and was active in local politics.
His wife Catherine (Dyer) McNally died in October 2004. He was also pre deceased by a daughter Maureen in 1968.
Family members include three sons, Daniel S. McNally of Northwood, NH, Eugene J. McNally of Hampton NH, and Michael P. McNally of Greenfield Center, NY; four daughters, Catherine S. McNally of Deltona FL, Eileen M. Lindell of Newark DE, Patricia M. Wieber of Deltona FL and Sheila A. McNally of Derry, NH; 13 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
There wee no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in St. Joseph Cathedral Chapel, Lowell St. on Tuesday, December 30th at 9 AM. Burial with military honors followed in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna NY.
