Agnes Jane Schleuss

Agnes Jane Mehrlander Schleuss, 84, of Manchester, NJ, born January 10, 1931 in South Amboy, passed away on September 25, 2015, in Toms River, NJ. Agnes was predeceased by her parents Henry and Augusta Mehrlander, her husband George, and her children Francis "Tiny" Aleszczyk, Christine Aleszczyk, Janice Lavender and son in law Joseph Marney . She is survived by her children Mary Jane and her husband Kenneth Brietske of Hampstead, NC, Joann and her husband Manuel Simoes of Woodbridge, NJ, Patricia Marney of Perth Amboy, Michael Aleszczyk of Cocoa, FL, James Aleszczyk and his wife Sharon of Woodbridge, NJ and Teresa and her husband Matthew McWeeney of Manchester, NJ, her daughter in law Elizabeth Aleszczyk of Carteret, NJ, her brother Dr. Ernest D. Mehrlander, Perryville of MD. Agnes is also survived by her 17 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Agnes worked as a cook for many years in various places. She lived in South Amboy, Perth Amboy, Carteret, Jackson all in New Jersey, Woodland Park, Colorado and Red Oaks, Virginia. Agnes loved knitting, plastic canvas crafts, card games and bingo.

Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-6 pm at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 3010 Ridgeway Rd., Manchester, NJ 08759. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Agnes's memory to the Saint Jude's Children's Hospital
