Alan G. Popowitch
December 30, 1946 – August 8, 2018
Alan G. Popowitch, 71, of Toms River passed away Wednesday August 8, 2018 at Hampton Ridge, Toms River surrounded by his loving family. Born in Chicago, IL to the late Walter and Dorothy Popowitch, Alan had lived in South Plainfield until settling in Toms River 41 years ago. Alan was a Plant Manager for Graber Rogg, where he worked in Cranford, NJ and retired out of Bristol, PA. Alan was a Vietnam War Army Veteran who proudly served his country. He was an avid Sports fan especially to his beloved Patriots, but most important to him was his loving family, children and grandchildren.
Predeceased by his wife JoAnn in 2008 and his brother Jim Popowitch. Surviving are his loving sons, Keith and Brian Popowitch both of Toms River, daughter in law Crystal of Waretown, his devoted grandchildren, Andrew, Patrick, Kevin, Cameron, Cobe, Ashlee, Colin and Jenna, his great granddaughter Payton who is due any day, his sister Cheryl Palentchar and his father and mother in law Joseph and Eleanor Scarbaci.
Family and Friends may gather at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 3010 Ridgeway Rd., Manchester Tuesday August 14, 2018 from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm with interment to follow at the Brigadier General Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ. In lieu of flowers donations in Alans’ memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project by visiting www.woundedwarriorproject.org
