Ann Hensey Anderson, age 86, of Manchester, passed away suddenly on Sunday, November 22, 2020. Ann was born in Pittson, Pennsylvania to the late Catherine and Daniel Hensey on July 18, 1934. After moving to Newark, NJ, when she was just a teenager, Ann met the love of her life, William Anderson. They were married in January of 1956 and raised their family together in Newark, NJ. Ann raised her family and worked in the banking industry, retiring after 40 years. Ann spent her life always looking for the positive, even after the loss of her husband Bill and two children Richard and Billy, far too early. Ann loved to write poetry and leaves behind many poems. She loved to be creative and was known to help with any school project for her grandkids. She loved to watch figure skating, laugh and spend time with her family. Ann was always happy and those that knew her will always remember her beautiful smile and kindness. Through all the darkness she experienced, she was always a bright light for her family, friends and those who knew her. Ann was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be forever in the hearts of those who knew her.
Ann is predeceased by her parents, Daniel and Catherine Hensey; her husband William Anderson and her sons Richard and William.
She leaves behind her children, Jeannine Curcione (Jerry Curcione) of Manchester ; Marlene Niwore (Ken Niwore) of South Carolina; Daniel Anderson (Lisa Anderson) of Edison; her nine grandchildren, Jacquelyn Edwards (Matthew Edwards); Mallory O’Rourke; Kenny Niwore (Kate Niwore); Matthew Curcione (Bonnie Curcione); Jeffrey O’Rourke (Alexis DiPaolo); Steven Curcione (Vivian Curcione); Adam Niwore; Danny Anderson Jr., Melissa Anderson and eight great grandchildren. Her sisters, Mary Miele, Jean Tortoriello, Daniel Hensey (deceased), Dorene Santaniello (deceased), Catherine Ervelli, Robert Hensey (deceased), Margaret Kiefer and many brother in-laws, nieces and nephews.
