Affectionately known as “Gonzo,” Tony is survived by his two children Arielle Gonzales and Stephen Gonzales. He is also survived by his sisters, Marcy, Eva, and Stephanie. He was predeceased by his parents, Ernesto and Dora Gonzales, and his sister, Gloria Gonzales.
Tony proudly served in the United States Army, enlisting in 1984. He completed three years of service and was honorably discharged in 1987. He was an avid sports fan who “bled blue,” with the New York Giants holding a special place in his heart.
A devoted member of Restoration Family Worship Center in Lakewood, New Jersey, Tony lived a life grounded in faith. Known for his skillful hands and strong work ethic, he built a life through a variety of trades, always willing to do what was needed and took pride in his work.
Tony fought a courageous battle and was blessed with more time than he once expected. In his final days, he expressed that he was on God’s time and faced that truth with strength and grace. Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing that he is now at peace.
Let us remember Tony for the man he truly was a man of faith, a devoted father, a loving partner to Deborah Miller, and a caring brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He was energetic, resilient, and deeply compassionate.
Gonzo, thank you for the love, the lessons, the laughter, and the unwavering support.
