Carolyn A. (Kunz) Schelest, 73, of Toms River, NJ, passed away on Thursday February 7, 2019. Born in Hackensack, NJ, Carolyn grew up in Hasbrouck Heights before moving to Howell. After her marriage, her family moved coast to coast several times before finally settling in Toms River. Carolyn was a tournament Mahjongg player, enjoyed playing Bingo, and playing Scrabble with family. What she loved most were her grandchildren and great grandchild, whom she loved dearly.

Carolyn is survived by her children, Beth Schelest and her husband Zeus, Carol Wnorowski and her husband Mike, Katherine Rausa and her husband Jeff, and Gregory Schelest, her sister Cathy Ackerman and her husband Ralph, and brothers Ron Kunz and his wife Becky, John Kunz, and Don Kunz and his wife Joan, her grandchildren, Dimitri, Michael, Joey, Brianna, Layne and Amelia and her great grandson Colton. She was predeceased by her parents Herbert and Erma (Hoch) Kunz, her husband Gregory Schelest, her brothers and sister, Herbie Kunz, Richie Kunz, Tommy Kunz and Marilyn Kennedy.

Family and friends are invited to the visitation on Saturday February 9, 2019, at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 3010 Ridgeway Rd, Manchester, NJ 08750, from 9-11am, with a funeral service to take place at 11 am. Interment to follow at Saint Mary of the Lake Cemetery, 1 Honey Locust St, Lakewood, NJ 08701.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Carolyn’s memory to the Manchester Twp First Aid Squad.
