OBITUARY
Charlie Davis Simpson
October 1, 1942 – November 22, 2018
Charlie Davis Simpson, son of the late Isabella and Charles E. Simpson was born October 1, 1942 in Lowndes County Valdosta, Georgia.
He attended the Valdosta, GA public schools through Junior High. At age 35, Charlie relocated to New Jersey where he met and united with his pride and joy, Gloria Jean Jenkins. The Lord blessed them to make a home in Manchester, NJ, later Lakewood, NJ raising their six children and seventeen grandchildren.
Established in 1982 Charlie owned and operated Simpson Floor Cleaning Service in Lakewood Township and was formerly employed by PACO Industries also of Lakewood.
He was a long-time charitable giver to various ministries and received a certificate of ordination to minister the word of God in 1998. He enjoyed reading his Bible, family near or far, playing his guitar, construction, cooking and eating.
He was predeceased by his parents Isabella and Charles, daughter Tanisha Jenkins Turner, sister's Hazel Lee Simpson, Viona Simpson, Bernice Simpson, Myrtis Simpson, Mary Jean Berry, Janie Lee Simpson and brothers Willie James and John Lee Simpson.
He leaves to cherish his fond memory the love of his life of 41 years Gloria Jean, his younger brother Edward Simpson of Valdosta, GA, half sister Myrtis Rencc of Lakeland, GA, nephews and caregivers Ray, Robert Lee and Willie Frank. Two son's Robert (Kelly) of Manchester, NJ and Curtis (Kashauna) of San Antonio, Texas, three daughter's Icleda of Brick, NJ, MaryAnn and Jenaya of Manchester, NJ, seventeen grandchildren Twella, Jamie, Utisha, CJ, Shay, Nais, Xavier, Nakim, Halle, Mark, Marcus, Khari, Dyamond, Zykeem, Sanaiya, Patie and Julianna. Sister-in-laws Barbara Ann and Roxanne and brother in laws William, Michael and Charles; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends whom he cherished.
