Curtis Davis

Minister Curtis Davis was born to Fred and Mamie Lou Davis on September 3, 1941, in Turner County, Georgia. He worked as a truck driver for 40 years until his retirement. He moved to Manchester, New Jersey 2 years ago before settling in Lakewood, NJ, where became a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church's family. His passion for the Lord developed early in life and he never stopped growing in Christ. He was a member of various congregations over the years, as a member, choir director, Sunday school teacher, treasurer, Deacon and a Minister. His works were great. He made friends everywhere he went with his welcoming smile, pleasant nature and his infectious laugh. He loved fishing, singing the Gospel, cooking and family.

He leaves to cherish his fond memories his children Curtis Otis Jenkins, Robert Jenkins, MaryAnn Jenkins, Icelda Jenkins, Jenaya Jenkins, tanisha and (Marcus Turner) all of Manchester, New Jersey, Dawn and (Michael Moore) of Albany Georgia, Meagan Montgomery of Washington, DC and Felicia Montgomery of Atlanta, Georgia and his greatest joys, his 23 grandchildren. He was also blessed to have an abundance of loving family members and caring friends.

A Viewing will be held on Wednesday December 5, 2012, at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 3010 Ridgeway Road, Manchester, NJ 08759, from 2-3 pm, with an Obituary Reading from 3-3:15 pm, and then a Prayer of Consolation and Kind words by Reverend Harper.
