

Domenica "Mimi" Tarantino, of Manchester, NJ, passed on June 9, 2026, at the age of 96. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Mimi lived in Queens before moving to Leisure Village West in Manchester, over 20 years ago.
She was a hairdresser by trade, but Mimi was a true entertainer and singer at heart. She performed in the Catskills numerous times and while living in Leisure Village, Domenica put on over 52 shows. She also was a member of the Italian Club, Jewish Club, Irish Club and the Players Group. Domenica was an excellent cook and made the best meatballs ever. Domenica was always active; she was either going to a meeting, a dance or a show. Not only was she very active in the village, she also met a wonderful group of friends, who are more like family than friends. Once you met her, you couldn't help but enjoy her company.
Domenica was predeceased by her husband, Frank Tarantino and her sister Carmela DiStefano. She is survived by her sisters, Jean Bellia and Josephine Bivona and her brother, Charles Tarallo, and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, as well as many friends.
A Memorial Visitation for Domenica will be held at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 3010 Ridgeway Road, Manchester, NJ 08759, on June 16, 2026, from 10 to 11 am, followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 am. A Committal Service will take place at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Rd, Wrightstown, NJ 08562, on June 16, 2026, from 12:30 pm, and then Mimi will be laid to rest with her beloved late husband, Frank.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Domenica's memory to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
