

Dorothy A. Freeman, 80, of Jackson died Wednesday at Community Medical Center in Toms River. Born in Brooklyn she lived there until she married. She and her husband moved to Brick in 1964 and then to Jackson in 1974. Mrs. Freeman was a statistician for NAES in Lakehurst for 20 years before retiring. She also worked for an independent contractor in the same capacity for 5 more years. She was a competitive roller skater who also taught skating for 25 years. She held both a stockbroker's and real estate license, and was an accomplished seamstress.
Dorothy is survived by Malone Freeman, her beloved husband of 47 years; a son, Richard McKay of Jackson; a daughter, Carolann Miller of St. Petersburg, FL; and a sister, Barbara Miles of Riverside, CA.
Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 3010 Ridgeway Rd., Manchester, NJ. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 8 pm at the funeral home. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to your favorite charity.
