

Eleanor F. Storer, 102, of Lakewood died Friday, May 10. Born in Brooklyn, she lived in Nutley before moving to Harrowgate in Lakewood in 1989. Miss Storer was a founder of this beautiful retirement community. She was employed by Prudential Life Insurance Co. in Newark for 40 years as an office clerk before her retirement in 1972. She was a past president of the Women’s Guild of St. Paul’s Congregational Church in Nutley, as well as a member of the Nutley Chapters of the Tri-Town Business and Professional Women, the Red Cross Board of Directors, the Restoration Trust of Kingston Manor, Meals on Wheels and the U.N. Council in Nutley.
She is survived by her cousins, Eben Franz and his wife Dorothy of Hendersonville, NC, Langdon S. Franz and his wife Loretta, also of Hendersonville, NC, Althea Robinson and her husband, Jack of Garden City, Long Island and Jacqueline Storer West, also of Garden City, Long Island.
Visitation will be from 9 am to 11 am, Wednesday at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 3010 Ridgeway Rd., Manchester. A funeral service will be held at 11 am, Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton.
