Eloise Ophelia Goins

Eloise was preceded in death by her 3 parents Monroe Sr, Hattie Gainey and Estelle Dorsey, 4 brothers William Thamas, Robert Lee, Roy and Monroe Jr., 6 sisters Rebecca, Mary, Pearl, Francis, Clara and Catherine, and a godson Jerry Cole.

Eloise attended public schools in Cheeraw, South Carolina. Shortly after, she moved to Virginia where she met her second mother Estelle Dorsey (Mama). Eloise decided to move to Washington with Mama and that is where she met and married Joseph Goins III.

In 1976 Eloise moved to New Jersey and worked many years as a house keeper. She retired in 1995 from Ocean Medical Center. She was also a member of New Hope Baptist Church of South Toms River, NJ, where she served on the Mother’s Board Choir until she became sick and Pastor’s aide.

Eloise leaves to cherish her memory one daughter Juanette Williams (Lester) of Manchester Twp, two sons Robert Dorsey(Wynise) of Lakehurst, NJ and Marquis Goins (Jennifer) of Manchester, NJ.

Elosie also found great reward with the opportunity to help raise both Randolph and Joseph Ford of Maryland. She also leaves her 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild and 1 god son Larry Cole of Washington, DC, a host of nieces, nephews and friends, including three very special friends Jenny Smith of Manchester, Ernestine White of Berkeley Township and Gloria Jenkins of Manchester Township.

A viewing will be held on Friday October 24, 2012, from 10-11 am at the New Hope Baptist Church, South Toms River, with a Funeral Service at 11 am and Interment to follow at Whiting Memorial Park, Whiting, NJ.
