Frederick Pennacchio, 93, of Manchester Township, NJ, passed away on September 26, 2025, after a brief hospitalization. Born on July 11,1932, in Brooklyn, NY, Fred was very proud of his Italian heritage.
As a civil engineer, Fred spent his career at the New York City Transit Authority. Over the years, he was involved in the planning of many of the city’s transit projects, including the Throgs Neck Bridge.
Fred was active in his community and enjoyed pursuing his hobbies. He and his wife Teri were accomplished ballroom dancers and also spent many years teaching others. He regularly attended the Republican club, his coin club, and his magic club. He’d often have a deck of cards in his pocket and never hesitated to show off a new trick.

Fred is survived by his wife of almost 58 years, Theresa; their daughter Susan Dabrowski and her husband Michael; Fred’s sons Rick Pennacchio, Michael Pennacchio and his wife Ana, Stephen Pennacchio and his wife Rosemary; their granddaughters Jessica, Nicole, and Stacy Dabrowski; his grandsons Jason Pennacchio and wife Julia, Fred Pennacchio and wife Alissa; his great-grandsons Luca and Landon Pennacchio and Ryan and Dylan Pennacchio.
