Dear Richard, Kathy & family,

Thank you for the pictures you posted. Your mom was a true beauty..inside & out. Her eyes and smile were very beautiful. She looks like an actress!

What I remember the most about your mom is her laugh. I can still here it now!
Our Grandma Rosaria/Sadie & Grandpa Joseph would have everyone over on most Sundays. Here is one of those pictures with Tina in it.

We pray your heart be comforted knowing that she is rejoicing with those in heaven who loved her so much!

May the love and peace of God, the comfort of Holy Spirit, and the fellowship of family & friends, strengthen you and sustain you now and in the days ahead.

With faith & love,
Theresa, Frank, Jessica & Natalie

Son Richard and daughter Kathleen, photo from 1960, wanted to share these photos and memories with family and friends before the services on Monday, February 11. What follows is a trip down memory lane, from 1960 to 1931 and ending with a note (may surprise some) for the obituary photo we chose.

Wedding photo of Gaetana and Eugene, 1953. His twin brother John (daughter Kathleen’s godfather) was best man. Bella (Benedetta) Catalano (son Richard’s godmother) was matron of honor. Flower girl was mom’s baby sister Roseanne (she passed away from cancer at age 56).

Her father was actually born in New York and he was an infant when his family returned to Italy. He emigrated back to the US at age eighteen and left us a treasure trove of papers documenting his journey. Salvatore corresponded regularly (in Italian) to his family back home until his passing in 1976. The man seated center is his father (Gaetana’s grandfather) Giovanni, surrounded by his bother and sister, their spouses and his grandmother and nephews. The women seated left is his mother, and mom’s namesake, Gaetana. The photo is stamped “V. LoVerso, Palermo, Corso Olivuzza, 9” in the lower left corner.
