Gay Louise Schneider

Gay Louise Schneider, 63, of Manchester, passed away on Wednesday June 15, at the Rochester General Hospital in Rochester, NY. Born and raised in Elizabeth, NJ, Gay lived in Washington, DC, where she worked for many years in early education for Bright Horizons. Gay graduated from Battin High School, in Elizabeth, class of 65, and from Newark State College, now known as Kean University, in Union. After she retired in 2002, she moved to Manchester. Gay was an avid gardener and a fun loving, kind person.

Gay was predeceased by her parents, Dorward and Ruth Schneider. She is survived by her devoted sister, Jill R. Dereza, and her husband, John, her niece and nephew, Lara Dereza Santos and Andrew James Dereza, and her great niece and nephew, Desiree Santos and Andrew James Dereza.

Visitation will be on Sunday June 19, 2011, from 2-4 pm, at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 3010 Ridgeway Road, Manchester, NJ 08759.
