Gertrud Cassese

Gertrud was born in Krefeld, Germany, moving to the United States at 2 years old with her predeceased parents, Franz and Hilde Busch. She grew up in Lakehurst, NJ and earned an Associates Degree from Ocean County College. She resided in Illinois for over 20 years before moving back to New Jersey.

She worked for Kmart in Illinois and New Jersey for many years and recently was working at Walmart. She loved to play Bingo and bowled most of her life. She enjoyed bus trips to the casinos in Atlantic City. She loved to crochet and made many beautiful items, most of which she gave away as gifts.

She was predeceased by her two husbands, Jack Cline and Bill Cassese.

She is survived by her sons Jack Cline Jr. (Savanna), Tim Cline (Heather), and Paul Cassese; three step-daughters, Christina Cassese, Patricia Cassese, Tonya Cassese; her sisters Karen Scheick (Jerry), and Debbie Kramer (Eric); her brothers, Frank Busch (Robin), and Andy Busch (Veronica); grandchildren: Allie Rogers, Whitney Cline, Connor Cline, Toby Cline, Rebekah Cline, Sawyer Cline; great grandchildren: Delilah Cline-Butler, Jasper Butler, Thomas Rogers, and Ruger Rogers; aunts, an uncle, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins.

Cremation will be held privately. Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, from 4 to 7pm at Anderson and Campbell funeral home, 3010 Ridgeway Rd., Manchester, NJ. 08759.
