

GREGORY IRVIN TAYLOR, 62, of Lakewood went home on Sunday, March 18, 2012. Born January 30, 1950 in New York City, he resided in New York City and the Bronx until he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1968. He served his country faithfully during the Vietnam Conflict. In 1969 Gregory married Suzan Williams with whom he had a son, Marc. He later married Delilah Davis, and he had three additional children from that union, Priest, Nokomis, and Timothy. Later he had another daughter, Skye. After leaving the Marine Corps Gregory moved to New Jersey where he was employed by Con-Rail as a pipe fitter.
He was predeceased by his father, William Taylor in 1998, a brother, Dennis Taylor in 1953 and his sister-in-law, Audrey Taylor in 2012. Surviving are his mother, Blanche Taylor of Manchester; three sons, Priest Taylor of Bayville, Marc Taylor of Manhattan, and Timothy Brown of Mt. Vernon, NY; two daughters, Nokomis Taylor of Yonkers, NY and Skye Taylor of Manhattan; two brothers, Harold Taylor of Tobihanna, PA and Rodney Taylor of Manhattan; three sisters, Adriene Johnson-Singh of Jackson, Vanessa Bryson of Manchester, and Beverly Taylor of Manchester; and three grandchildren, Cheyenne Taylor, Luming Taylor, and Ja’Mere Brown. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00am Friday, March 23, 2012 at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 3010 Ridgeway Rd., Manchester, NJ 08759.
