Dear Family and Friends of John,
John and I have been brothers since we met in the U.S. Air Force in Misawa, Japan, in early 1971.  His smile, his laugh, and his sense of humor, plus his sense of caring and love, and his common sense will stay with me forever.  He will always be John the "P" and "Felix the Cat".  I will cherish the memories of our long phone calls and reunions and our single "birthday card" that we sent back and forth to one another for almost 30 years.  Most of all, I will always hold close to my heart the true and lasting friendship of my brother. He always said, "I'm just passing through". God Speed John Piga! See you on the other side. I knew John when we were at Misawa in the early 1970s. We met again during the reunion at Bruce's house in 2001. I looked through the photo album and could see how much you all meant to each other. What wonderful memories you must have of him. My prayers are yours.

The Colonia Senior High School Class of 1968 is sorry to hear of the death of our classmate John Piga.

My deepest sympathies to John's family.  I worked with John & his company, Chateau Designs, back in '85 - '98, when I worked at Cabinet Concepts/Cabitron.  He taught me a lot about "good" design - he did some very fine work.  I still have & use the Architectural Standards book he gave me.  I'll think of him & say "Thanks, John" the next time I use it.

 We as a family are suffering at a huge loss of the family. We may not have been able to see each other, but through thick and thin we are always family, and always will be. Now, especially at a time like this we all, being family, have to stick together. Afterall, they do say blood is thicker than water. I'm so sorry for your loss Dad. However, this is not just one persons lose its the family's as a whole. He is in a better place now watching over us. Uncle john you are gone but never forgotten. I love you. Rest easy. I am really sorry for your loss.  I know you and uncle john didnt get to see each other very often but I know you guys were always very close and you spoke to him quite frequently. He knew you loved him with all your heart and he truly is in a better place now. A brothers bond can never be broken and know that he is always with you and watching over you. When I received the word of your loss I was caught totally off guard. I remember John as one of the coolest and nicest people I have ever known. There are no words that can fill the void that you and your family are now experiencing.
