Joe and I became friends in the past couple of years. He was a very kind, generous and gentle man. I’m very sorry I was away for his service. I would have liked to have been there. He will be sorely missed .

I am deeply saddened to hear this. Joe and I worked together in the 90's. I still remember many of our conversations, from his Yankee memorabilia, to his softball games, to the production of "Oliver" that he was in.
He was a great guy.

Joe or as many of us knew him, Gampy, always knew how to make you laugh whether it was a story about how he can’t sing, his time in pharmacy school, or stories of the grandkids when we were little. His overwhelming love, support, and pride for us never went unsaid or unnoticed. This didn’t stop at family though. He had many friends which to him were just like family. Gampy, we love you and will miss you but thank you for having touched our lives for the better.
