IN THE CARE OF
Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home
Julius “Jules” Kazimir Jr., 87, a US Navy veteran from Manchester, NJ, passed away on Friday, May 13, 2022 after a brief illness. Born in Passaic, NJ, Jules and his family lived in Clifton for 41 years before moving to Manchester 17 years ago. A graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University, Jules worked at John Wiley & Sons, New York, until his retirement in 2000. A parishioner of St. John’s RC Church in Lakehurst, Jules proudly and loyally served with the Knights of Columbus in various capacities, including Grand Knight. Combining the good looks of Paul Newman with the dry wit of Bob Newhart, Jules found renown in his later years as an emcee at reunions of the Clifton High School Class of 1952. He was also known for his bountiful vegetable garden, his love of the song “Morning Has Broken,” and his perfect retorts (which he sometimes waited years to deliver).
Jules was predeceased by his parents, Julius Sr. and Anne; his sister, Joan Kozinski; and his wife of 51 years, Mary Jane Kazimir. He is survived by his daughters, Denise Clare and Allison Cole (Vincent); his grandchildren Anastasia Wenzke (Darrienn), Paige Kelly, Teagan Clare, and Ian Kelly; his great-grandson Damian Jules Livezey; and his siblings Virginia Nazimek (Joseph) and Allan Kazimir (Joan). A visitation for family and friends for Julius will be held Tuesday, May 17, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 3010 Ridgeway Road, Manchester, NJ 08759. A mass of christian burial will occur Wednesday, May 18, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at Saint John's RC Church, 619 Chestnut Street, Lakehurst, NJ 08733. A gathering before mass will occur on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the funeral home.
