Karen M. Kennedy, 80, of Manchester Twp., quietly passed away at home on Saturday, September16th, 2023. Karen was born in Hackensack, NJ and was raised in Jersey City, NJ. Karen was a proud member of the Presbyterian Church of Toms River and its sanctuary choir. In addition, she was a member of the Women’s Club and the water aerobics class which she led for ten years. She also loved to play mah-jongg and cards. Karen made it her mission to crochet baby blankets to prevent any infants from being cold. She crocheted nearly one hundred of them as well as two full sized blankets. Karen is predeceased by her parents Dave and Mary Mowry. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Iver, her son John, her daughter Heather-Marie and her husband Frank Lane and two grandsons, Landon Iver and Robert Michael Lane. Karen will be privately cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date at the Presbyterian Church of Toms River. Memorial donations may be made in honor of Karen to either the Presbyterian Church of Toms River or the Visiting Nurse Association Hospice
