Leon Horowitz, 96, of Manchester passed away Monday, Sept. 30 at AristaCare in Manchester. Born and raised in Brooklyn, he graduated from Cooper Union University in Brooklyn and earned his Master’s Degree from Steven’s Institute of Technology. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II in both North Africa and India. Leon was a Licensed Professional Engineer who was known for his excellent work ethic and love of knowledge.
He is survived by Elaine, his loving wife of 57 years; his beloved son, Joel, of San Francisco; his beloved daughter, Karen Church of Lopatcong Township; his adored granddaughter, Stacey Sutton and great-grandchildren, Zachary and Peyton Sutton, all of Lopatcong.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am, Thursday at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 3010 Ridgeway Rd., Manchester. Interment will follow at Brigadier General William C. Doyle NJ Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
