

Louis (Lou) J. Erickson, 82, of Bayville,NJ, passed away peacefully at home on Friday August 1st, 2025, surrounded by his family. Lou was born on January 19th,1943, in New York City, NY, to parents, John and Clemintina (nee Peroni) Erickson. His family relocated to Cranford, NJ, where he grew up. He attended and graduated from Cranford High School. Lou entered the United States Air Force and upon completion of his service, Lou became employed by, Bell Atlantic, now known as Verizon, as a plant environmental service technician. It is here that he met the love of his life and future wife, Mary Ann Ucci. The two married in February of 1964 and moved to Brick Township, NJ. In 1979, Lou and his family moved to Bayville. It is here they raised their four children, John, Louis, Robert, and Tina. Lou remained in Bayville until his passing. Lou had many hobbies. He enjoyed hunting, making decoy ducks, building and flying radio controlled planes. He was a huge soccer fan. He was past president and a coach with the Berkeley Soccer Association and a USSF soccer referee for 20 plus years. Lou will truly be missed by all that knew and loved him.
Lou was predeceased by his parents, John and Clemintina, brother Lawrence, nephews Ronald and Lawrence Jr., and grandson, Noah. Surviving is his wife of 61 years, Mary Ann, sons, John and his wife, Jo-ann, Louis and his wife, Denise, Robert and his wife, Kimberly, and daughter, Tina Delaney. His niece, Donna Erickson-Kidd and grandchildren, Andrew, Jeanette, Shawn, Bailey, Shane, Hunter, Stevie, Jay, and great granddaughter, Mia.
A viewing for Lou will be held on Wednesday, August 6th, 2025, from 4 to 7 pm at the Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 3010 Ridgeway Rd., Manchester, NJ. A service will commence at 6 pm. Cremation will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made in memory of Lou to either the Wounded Warrior project (woundedwarriorproject.org), or the Tunnel to Towers Foundation (T2T.org).
