Lynn H French

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Lynn H. French (née Bock) on July 8, 2026, after a brief but courageous battle with illness. Lynn's warmth, generosity, and vibrant spirit touched the lives of all who knew her.

A lifelong New Jersey resident, Lynn was born in Elizabeth and later made her home in Clark with her beloved late husband, Jack. Their remarkable love story was a testament to enduring connection. They often delighted in recounting, with a twinkle in their eyes, that their paths crossed in the hospital nursery, their hearts aligned in kindergarten, and their engagement sealed in junior high. While a charming embellishment, this anecdote beautifully captured the essence of their lifelong bond. Indeed, their love story blossomed from their junior high years, culminating in marriage soon after graduating high school, marking the beginning of decades of shared joy and companionship.

Lynn dedicated many years of her professional life to Prudential Insurance, where she retired after a fulfilling career. Beyond her professional achievements, Lynn embraced retirement with characteristic zest and an open heart. She and Jack embarked on countless adventures, exploring the world together and creating a treasure trove of cherished memories. Her hands, ever busy and creative, found immense joy and purpose in quilting. Each stitch was a labor of love, and her beautiful creations brought comfort and warmth not only to her home but also to numerous organizations to which she selflessly donated them, a true reflection of her giving spirit.

Lynn leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering devotion, cherished by her devoted daughter, Gail, and her son-in-law, Raymond Cinelli. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Entombment will be private, limited to immediate family members and those who have received a direct invitation. This solemn rite of committal will be held within the serene grounds of Saint Gertrude’s Cemetery, in the Good Shepherd Chapel Mausoleum, located at 53 Inman Avenue, Colonia, New Jersey on Monday, August 3rd, 2026 at 11 am.
