Marie H. Hill

Marie Helen Hill, daughter of the late William and Mary (nee Scanlan) O’Connell, was born in Elizabeth, NJ, on December 12, 1918 and passed on September 17, 2016. Widow of the late Kenneth Hill, she was also predeceased by her siblings Donald, Raymond and Margaret. Marie leaves behind her son Kenneth Hill and his wife Maryanne of Little Egg Harbour, her daughter Glenda Jenner and her husband David of Toms River, her daughter Carolee Merrigan and husband Mathew of Manchester and her daughter Jean Hill of Toms River, 10 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren, as well as a number of nieces, nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews.

Mrs. Hill lived in Colonia for 25 years then Lakehurst before moving to Toms River in 1968. She was a proud homemaker all of her life and a second Mom to her grandchildren. Marie attended Saint Joseph’s Church in Toms River and was currently a communicant of Saint John’s Church in Lakehurst, NJ.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday September 20, at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 3010 Ridgeway Road (also known as 571), Manchester, NJ 08759, from 4-8 pm. Please be at the funeral home at 10 am on Wednesday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 am on Wednesday September 21, 2016 at Saint John’s RC Church, 619 Chestnut Street, Lakehurst, NJ 08733.
