Dearest sister, your one year death anniversary has arrived.  With it comes  one year of missing your voice, your laugh, your love. Yet each day, we feel you, Melody, in the smallest of ways, the quietest moments, touching our lives.  We don't just mourn the loss of a caring, wonderful sister, but celebrate the spirit of a beautiful soul who continues to live on in our hearts and minds.  With each tear cried comes the knowledge that you’re embraced and surrounded by the love of our Heavenly Father Jesus.  We miss you with all our hearts. Rest in peace.

Rest in Peace Melody. I'll always remember you happily walking your dogs up and down our street!

I love you Aunt Mel. Your laughter,  sarcasm for life, and the ability to see the good in anything was as infectious as your smile. I will always hold the memories of going to the little fair down the road from the beach home when I would stay over close my heart and forever in my memories. I still have and will pass the Christmas  ornaments we made together when I  was a child to my children and I know they will pass to theirs. Your gift will always live on in my family.  I am eternally grateful for that.  I know my dad met you at the gates and hopefully you and Lillian don't drive him to crazy till we are all unite again. I will always love you and the hope you crafted in all our hearts will never let this world go gray.

So sorry for your loss.......I always remember Mrs. Sorge as a very kind person and dedicated and supportive mom of her son James, who trained with us. May God give you the strength to deal with this loss.

With so many others who have mourned a dear departed loved one; I shared with you the immense sense of emptiness, heartache, lost, and the difficulty of accepting that a loved one will be forever missing from our lives.   However, never, ever,  from our hearts.
Although, this is a moment in time for deep sorrow, I much rather it be a moment to remember and cherish what a caring and loving individual my sister, Melody, was. 
So with each word that follows I honor Melody’s memory with the upmost dignity, love and respect she so rightfully earned and deserves for living a life full of compassion for others. 
As my younger sibling, Melody and I shared many happy adventures growing up on Staten Island (formally called Richmond) New York City. Melody attended P.S. 12, then onto JH 49 and Curtis HS, where she graduated. 
I have numerous fond and loving memories of her throughout our childhoods up until her untimely passing.  I know those memories and her love she left behind for us will help ease our sorrow of missing her.  
Melody centered her love and devotion on Jimmy, the love of her life, a loving relationship which started as childhood sweethearts, and stayed as meaningful, true and pure throughout their 48 years of marriage.  The affection, dedication and understanding they shared for one another are rarely ever felt or experienced by most.  
When from this magical loving relationship their son, James was born. Melody loved being a “mom” and was truly a very  caring, doting protecting and loving mother.  She nurtured James and supported him in all his endeavors.   Always giving him encouragement, guidance and understanding.  Teaching him the true meaning of being a Christian and living one’s life as such.  James meant the world to her.  (Continues under Comments)

You were a Loving & Kind sister, mother, wife friend, & Aunt! You are truly missed, & mourned! I know though that you are walking Thee Streets of Heaven, with family, & friends, waiting for the rest of us. It hurts me inside & i do have fond memories of you from when i was younger. You were ALWAYS there for James Sr. & Jr., & they were the Loves of your life.   Love Wayne Jr.
