

Richard Walter Leach, age 85, of Toms River, NJ, passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at Community Medical Center in Toms River, NJ. Born in Rochelle Park, NJ, he remained a resident of Bergen County before relocating in 1971 with his family to Bayville, NJ and then ultimately settled in Toms River, NJ in 1993.
Rich worked for Colgate-Palmolive in New York for over 30 years with most of his tenure being in finance management. Throughout his life, Rich loved fishing and the outdoors and always appreciated the beauties of nature. After retiring in 1997, he enjoyed trips to the race track and going to the casino spending time with his loving wife, Maggie. Rich found joy and pride in always taking care of his family and he had a great sense of humor and quick wit that everyone around him appreciated.
Son of the late Helene and Walter Leach, Rich is also predeceased by his sister, Patricia French and her husband Carl French. He is survived by his wife, Margaret (Maggie) Leach, his daughter, Michele Aserdziev and his son, Richard Leach and his wife, Kelly. He is also survived by his two granddaughters, Noelle Aserdziev and Sierra Leach and his niece, Laura Leach.
Visitation and cremation services will be private under the direction of Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 3010 Ridgeway Road, Manchester, NJ 08759.
