Richard James O’Brien, 89, of Manchester, formerly of Cresskill, NJ, passed away on Saturday March 10, 2012, at the Rose Garden Nursing and Rehab, Toms River, NJ.Born in Yonkers, NY, Richard lived in Cresskill for many years before moving to Manchester in 2004. He was a Veteran of WWII and a parishioner of Saint John’s Church in Lakehurst, NJ.
Richard is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years Dorothy Macchio O’Brien, his devoted children, Richard J. O’Brien, Jr. of Edison, NJ, and Janet Krehely and her husband Robert of Manchester, NJ, his loving grandchildren, Michael Krehely of Terre Haute, IN, Christine Krehely and Cathleen Krehely, both of Manchester, NJ, his 2 great grandchildren and his brother James O’Brien of Utah. Richard was predeceased by his 7 brothers and a sister.
