Robert M. Planz

Robert M. Planz "Bob" 89 of Manchester Township, New Jersey passed away on Wednesday July 9th, 2025. Bob was born on June 23rd. 1936 in Hackensack , NJ. to parents John and Louise(nee Hook) Planz. In the summer of 1953 he met the love oh his life Bette Caruso. They married on April 27th, 1957 and settled in Hackensack, NJ where they began their family. After moving to Lodi, NJ where they lived for over thirty years Bob retired from Merrill Lynch and moved with his wife to Manchester, NJ.

Bob is predeceased by his beloved wife Bette after 66 years of marriage. Also, he is predeceased by his loving parents John and Louise Planz, brothers Ralph and John Jr. Planz, sisters Marie Cattaneo and Elizabeth Picariello and his father and mother in-law Anthony Sr. and Josephine Caruso.

Bob is survived by his adoring daughter's Lori and her husband Mark Gucia Sr. and Leslie and her husband Joseph Browne., two cherished grandsons Mark Gucia Jr. and Joseph (Joey) Browne.

He is also survived by his sister-in-law Jackie Caruso, his nieces Liz Cattaneo and Peggy McIntyre and nephew Dennis Picariello as well as many other family members who loved him and will miss him dearly.

Bob was a true blue NY Giants fan and an avid NY Mets fan who never hesitated to cheer on his teams when they were winning and yell at them when they were losing.

A visitation for family and friends for Robert will be held Sunday, July 13, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 3010 Ridgeway Road, Manchester, NJ 08759. Please meet at the church for a Mass of Christian Burial to take place on Monday, July 14, 2025 from 10 to 10:45 AM at St. John's Catholic Church, 619 Chestnut St, Lakehurst, NJ 08733. A committal service in the mausoleum will occur Monday, July 14, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Saint Mary of the Lake Cemetery, Honey Locust Dr, Toms River, NJ 08701.
