Susan P. Greenberg

Susan Paula Greenberg, 73 years young, passed away on Monday, June 13, 2022 at her home in Jackson, NJ. Susan was born to Joseph and Florence Coccari and raised in Brooklyn, NY. She moved to New Jersey as a teenager where she graduated from East Brunswick High School. She later attended Rutgers University and Ocean County College. She began her career working with special needs students at the Alpha School in Lakewood, NJ. Later she transitioned into a long career as a teacher’s assistant for the Jackson School District. Susan poured her heart into working with special needs students at the Goetz Middle School for many years and truly loved all her students.

Susan is predeceased by her husband, Stuart Greenberg, and survived by her three sons and their families, Christopher Greenberg and his wife, Dawn Greenberg, and granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Sophia, Jonathan Greenberg and his fiancé, Megan Goodspeed, and granddaughters, Olivia and Ava, Scott Greenberg and his wife, Anna Massion-Greenberg, grandson, Jacob, and granddaughter, Ella. She is also survived by her dear sister, Maria Dowden, and her husband, Rick, and their sons, Joshua and Matthew. Last, but not least, she is also survived by her beloved dog and faithful companion, Zoe.

Susan was happiest when spending time with her family and close friends and created many beautiful memories throughout her lifetime. Her favorite place to be was the beach, especially at sunset, and she spent many evenings strolling the boardwalk at Island Heights. Her love and laughter will forever be remembered by those she touched along her life’s journey.
