Weiken Hom

have a memory or condolence to add?

Nan (Olivia) Liu

August 1, 2019

I want to pass along condolences for the passing of Weiken, or as we always affectionally called him, “Mr. Hom” whenever he visited. I consider Mr. Hom one of the most special people in my life. He was always full of energy and always had a word of encouragement. “You are so smart. “You are so funny.” “You can do anything!” Always with a laugh and a smile and a sincerity that I have never seen before or since. He was a truly generous spirit and full of life. I remember one time in particular when I was having a hard time in my life and he visited while I was working. His enthusiasm and love of life was just so contagious. He helped to lift me from my sadness. I will always be thankful for his friendship and believe I am a better person because of our friendship. I realize that this may be a difficult time, but try hard to focus on all the joy and happiness he brought with him and the love he shared.

You are in my thoughts and prayers and know I will always be grateful for the friend I had in Mr. Hom.

With utmost sincerity,

Nan “Olivia” Liu
