

Adam Andrew Anschutz, 88, of Perrysville, died late Tuesday evening, February 15, 2005, at SCCI Hospital. Born April 11, 1916, in Mansfield, he was the son of Karl and Christina Roth Anschutz. A lifelong area resident, he enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren, fishing and woodworking. For over 40 years, he was employed at Ohio Brick Company and retired as plant superintendent. He was a veteran of WWII serving with the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Virginia Bonnell Anschutz, whom he married June 25, 1938; two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Jan Anschutz of Mansfield, Harold and Cindy Anschutz of Lucas; two daughters and sons-in-law, Christine and Art Soliday of Mansfield, Deborah and Tim Zurcher of Ashland; thirteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Bonnie Anschutz of Galion; and two brothers and a sister-in-law, Jacob and Dorothy Anschutz of Lucas, Robert Anschutz of Mansfield. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Adam, Jr.; daughter, Carolyn; a great-grandson; two sisters, Christine Gerber and Louise Wise; and three brothers, Henry, Karl and John Anschutz.
Graveside services conducted by Rev. Charles Tobias will be held Friday, February 18 at 11:00 a.m. at Greenlawn Cemetery, Perrysville. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors assisted the family.
