Adam Baumann, 88, of Mansfield, died Tuesday, February 19, 2013 in Fort Mohave, Arizona. Born July 13, 1924 in Franzfeld, Yugoslavia he was the son of Jakob and Sophia Baumann. In his early years in Yugoslavia he worked as a mechanic, moving to Mansfield in 1955. After moving to the United States, he specialized in heating and air conditioning owning his own business, Adams Heating. He was a member of the Illinois Avenue Apostolic Christian Church and enjoyed animals and being around people and children.
He is survived by a son Jake Baumann of Florida; two sisters, Elizabeth Baumann and Sophie Lamp both of Mansfield; and three nephews, Phil Lamp, Rob Lamp and George Lamp. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Marietta; his second wife, Henrietta Manz Gerber Bauman; a brother, Jakob Baumann; and a sister, Lena Baumann.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, February 28, 2013 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 1, 2013 at the Apostolic Christian Church, 84 Illinois Avenue, Mansfield. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the World Relief Fund in care of the Apostolic Christian Church.
