Alan Bryant Crawford

Alan “Al” Bryant Crawford, 75, passed away September 4, 2024. He was born September 20, 1948, in Crestline, Ohio. After graduating from Mansfield Senior High School, Al enlisted in the Army. He then worked as a corrections officer at the Mansfield Correctional Facility for 26 years. Al was reserved and quiet, but witty and honest. He was a Scottish Rite Mason. Al was protective of his family and generous. He enjoyed studying family history and researching Jesse James through genealogy. Al lived in Protem, Missouri for the past 22+ years, where he spent much of his time as a lapidary and loved panning for gold.

Al is survived by his son, Eric (Kennett) Crawford; significant other, Susan Casler; grandchildren, Savannah E. Crawford and Orianna A. Crawford; three siblings, Glenn (Robin) Crawford, Bonnie L. Wilson, and Kitty (Gary) Harrison; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sydney Glenn Crawford and Betty Jean (Constance) Crawford.

Visitation will be held Monday, September 16, 2024, at 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. A Graveside Service will follow at Mansfield Memorial Park at 2:30 PM. Wappner Funeral Directors-Mansfield is honored to serve the Crawford family.
