Alberta Hunt

Alberta J. Gerhart Hunt, 75, of 673 Sloane Ave. died Thursday, August 16, 2001 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital after a brief illness. She was born January 22, 1926, in Bellville, Ohio, to Lyle and Bertha Spriesterbach Gerhart. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and a graduate of Mansfield Senior High School. She retired from the accounting department with the United Telephone Company. Alberta enjoyed shopping, traveling to Williamsburg, Virginia, and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Charles P. 'Bud' Hunt; daughter and son-in-law, Larry and Charlene Potter of Manfield; son and daughter-in-law, Philip and Jean Hunt of Marietta, Ohio; grandchildren and their spouses, Jenny and Andy Barr of Florida, Jill Potter of Mansfield, Ryan Potter of Ashland, and Brandon and Alicia Hunt of Marietta; and one great granddaughter, Taylor Potter.

Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Sunday from 6-9 p.m. Funeral services will be at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Monday at 11:00 conducted by Dr. George Lambert and assisted by Rev. Andy Barr. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.
